Present – 2017

January 2019: Loungers estate reaches 140 sites across England and Wales

August 2018: Gregor Grant joins Loungers as CFO

March 2018: 100th Lounge opened

January 2018: Caryn Savazzi joins as People Director

August 2017: Jake Bishop becomes Commercial Director, Justin Carter becomes Lounge MD, Amber Wood appointed Cosy Club MD

May 2017: Re-financing exercise completed

2016 – 2012

December 2016: Piper Private Equity exit and Lion Capital Private Equity acquire a majority stake in Loungers

2015 – 2016: Gradual acceleration of the roll-out to 20 sites each year; expansion of estate into the Midlands and North; roll-out now incorporates 3-5 Cosy Clubs each year

January 2015: Justin Carter joins Loungers as COO and Nick steps up to CEO

April 2012: Dave Reid exits and Piper Private Equity invest

January 2012: Nick Collins joins Loungers as Finance Director

2011 – 2002

2008 – 2011: Strong trading in recession; value for money offer; more opportunities for expansion

September 2010: Gap in the market recognised and the first Cosy Club is launched in Taunton

2009: New site build process taken in-house

2007 & 2008: Tentative expansion in Bristol, Bath and across the water into Cardiff

August 2002: Lounge on North Street Bristol opens
