Loungers – Brightside’s parent company – has always been an active and committed member of the local community. Its charity initiative, LoungeAid, raised £200,000 this year alone, alongside hosting countless drop-ins, outreach events and fundraising activities across the Lounge Café Bar estate.
So it felt only natural for the Brightside team to play a meaningful role in the communities we serve. Rugby enthusiast and Brightside Exeter Assistant Manager, Lewis Roberts, suggested strengthening our ties with Exeter Chiefs, bringing the Brightside experience to travelling supporters in need of proper refuelling.
It made perfect sense. Since then, we’ve welcomed many a loyal Chiefs fan through our doors pre- and post-match – lining their stomachs before a few pints of Guinness or celebrating with an all-day brunch after a hard-fought win (all too rare last season!).
Last year, we launched a new campaign across the South West – including near our Brightside Ram Jam restaurant – aimed at reaching and refuelling travelling sports teams and their supporters. As part of this initiative, Brightside will become a key sponsor of grassroots sport across the region.
Whether it’s a thumping victory or a rain-soaked defeat, players and supporters alike deserve great food and a warm welcome – and Brightside delivers both.
Keep an eye out for our distinctive pitch-side banners at participating grounds, and don’t forget: members of the organisations below can enjoy 10% off at any Brightside location.
