Loungers plc is pleased to announce the recruitment of Guy Youll and Kate Lister, who have joined the business as Chief People Officer and Marketing Director respectively.
Guy was previously Chief Human Resources Officer at Inspired Education, a leading group of international schools across 25 countries with more than 10,000 employees. Prior to that, he was Global HR Director at Superdry, and before that, Head of HR Operations at Whitbread. Guy takes responsibility for all people-focused activities and the People team.
Kate joins the business with experience of both QSR and casual dining brands, including a decade at global coffee brand, Starbucks, and almost four years at Byron. More recently, Kate led the UK Marketing team at Ole & Steen – a household name in its native Denmark. Kate leads the marketing functions for Lounge, Cosy Club, and Loungers’ recently announced third brand, Brightside, which will open its first restaurant in early 2023.
Guy and Kate join the Company in newly-created roles which will support the business as it continues its expansion. The Group recently announced it was accelerating its site roll-out programme, targeting 30 new openings in the current financial year and between 32 and 34 on an ongoing basis.
